Despite a high wind advisory, driving rain, and cold temperatures, we loaded up the Ranger and headed out to Moose Lake, MN to enjoy the beautiful scenery, bridges, and fall colors.

We crossed the Kettle River on a couple different old trestles as we followed the route of the Soo Line through this part of Minnesota.

A tall bridge, don't look down!

Walter was excited to see that the trail croosed some active train tracks in McGregor, MN but was disappointed that we didn't wait there to see a train. We were too cold and wet. Maybe next time we will see a train we said. There was a picnic pavilion there right next to the tracks! You know the weather was bad if we didn't have a picnic there!

The Soo Depot at Moose Lake is well cared for.
