Fun Happenings in July

It's been a fun July so far. Jeff's Grandparent's celebrated their 60Th anniversary on the weekend of the fourth, so we had a lot of relatives in town which was nice. Here are the kids in their usual pose on our porch after the parade. Walter and Rose E where counting down the time for months.
This weekend we took a trip to Duluth, Minnesota. Here are a few pictures of the kids at Canal Park, enjoying the scenery of the bridges, ships, and lighthouses.

We also trailered up the ranger and took it for an excursion from Moose Lake to Cass Lake a round trip of 220 miles! Here we are after crossing the Mississippi River. It was a fun adventure. Another bonus of the trip, for the train buffs of this family, was that we stayed in a motel where we where able to watch trains pass by from our room window.

Time to celebrate!

A big day for this guy, he lost his first baby tooth! He is so excited!
On Sunday our church celebrated it's 150Th anniversary. Quite impressive. It is hard to imagine the church that many years ago. Here are the kids at junior church having a Happy Birthday church party.

Fun in the sun

Here are a few of the things that we have been doing now that
Walter and I are on summer vacation! Walter still can't believe it and every now and then confirms that he doesn't have to get up early for school. This picture was taken last week out at the camp, if you look closely behind the boys there is a duck swimming in the water.

Rose E standing in front of our crab apple tree, it was stunning this year.

Some important events!

It's been a busy couple of weeks! My boy graduated from Kindergarten today! It was such a cute ceremony, each kid had to say what they want to be when they grow up Walter said "funeral director." First grade here we come, boy the time does fly by!
Jeff and his Grandpa celebrated their Birthdays on Wednesday! Happy Birthday to a couple of wonderful guys!

And our little Rose Ella is now four! She of course wanted another dog cake. She loves her dogs and cats that is for sure!

Is it spring yet?

Here are the kids with their cousins celebrating Great Grandma's Birthday last weekend, the kids are happy to have her back in town (she spent the winter downstate Michigan).

Last weekend Walter was driving a snowmobile at his friend Jack's house, this weekend is Easter! Only in the Copper Country!

Yesterday the kids had their gang of friends over to decorate eggs and have an egg hunt. Walter was so excited that he only slept 6 hours the night before. The kids had a great time.

Some celebrations!

Sorry I haven't updated in awhile. We've been busy as usual. Anyway here are some of the things we have been up to.

Walter's school has a behavior reward program that allows them to earn super stars and with their super stars they buy things, anyway, he has been quite thoughtful when he spends his super stars because he has been buying things for us as well. So a couple of weeks ago he came home with a bunny Easter cookie cutter for me. So of course we had to make and decorate bunny cookies. Rose E really got into the spirit of it as you can see. She decorated for about an hour! Oh and speaking of bunnies, a couple of weeks ago we where talking about real bunnies and I said one year when I was a little girl I got a real bunny in my Easter basket, Walter replied back with "are you sure there where no screws or batteries underneath it!" Guess who just had a Birthday? Happy Birthday Ariel.
Last weekend we went to Green Bay to celebrate. The kids had a blast.
And the weekend before we went to Wisconsin also to celebrate baby Thea's baptism. I have better pictures of her in her beautiful gown but for some reason our computer has been playing hide-n-seek with our loaded pictures lately and I can't find them on our computer.
A photo of Walter, Rose E and Colton
These pictures where taken a little while back dressed in Sunday best. Anyway, I had to the post them because Walter made me laugh on that day because he said "why are we dressed like old people?'
I think we are finally moving away from all of that winter gear! The kids enjoyed some sunshine this weekend and it is nice to see that most of our snow is almost gone! Phew it was beginning to feel like it would never come!
