Our new entertainment!

This weekend we got a new fish tank. The kids have wanted one for months and have spent hours already gazing at their new finned friends!
We also got two fiddler crabs whom have kept the tank very interesting to watch!

Rose E is now 3!!!

Happy Birthday sweet heart!

Suddenly we have had beautiful weather again. It's been a fun but busy week so far! On Sunday we took a Ranger ride to Lac La Belle. This picture was taken in front of the old Central Mine church, but the picture does not do justice to the rolling hills in the background. What beautiful territory out there! Then on Monday we had all of Walter's classmates over to see our trains. Our little man was in his glory of course. Today was another sunny day so we spent the entire afternoon at the chutes and ladders park in Houghton and had dinner at the Mine Shaft restaurant. Fun, fun, fun!

Some exciting times!

We picked up our new wheels today. We took Cale (Walter and Rose E's cousin) with us on our first ride on the trail.
It was so nice to see everything so green again, and some of the trees flowering along with the duck and geese swimming in the ponds. It's just so refreshing to be out on those trails.

Every night this week we have had something fun to do with the kids, anyway, the circus came into town on Tuesday, it was so thrilling to see those great big animals along with all of the other excitement!

Little slugger

Yesterday was an exciting day for Walter, he started t-ball. Here he is for his first time up to bat about to hit the ball. He was also proud of a catch that he made with his glove when another child was up to bat. Lots of fun!
Every week we have also been taking the kids to open swim and Walter and Rose E have turned into a couple of little fish. Anyway, here is Rose E wearing her mock "goggles" at home. Gotta love that creativity!

On Monday, Rose E. went for a long ride with daddy to Milwaukee for work. They did somehow manage to find a couple trains along the way!

A bright future!

Our future "engineer"(in one sense or another) here! This kid has been creating some awesome things lately. He got inspired by one of Daddy's books and created a very detailed "Ore boat" in this picture.
This fashion queen has rediscovered her sun glasses! We had 75 degree weather the other day and she said she needed to wear them to the park so that her "eyeballs wouldn't pop out!" I couldn't help but to laugh.

Oh and she is wearing them inside too! Thought it was a cute touch to the Chief ensemble. Here she is before her tea party with her toy animals, dolls and of course mom too!
