Last Saturday was Family Fun day at the Lake Linden School Forest. We all had a good time and it is sure to become a yearly tradition. There was an igloo for the kids to go in, tractor, snowmobile, and even Ranger rides, snowshoeing, and a campfire with marshmallows, plus friends to share in the fun! The school also owns a beautiful cabin and served a free lunch and hot chocolate.

Just blame it on the weather
Tonight while I was putting laundry away, Walter was playing a computer game and I said "I wonder why it keeps freezing-up?" He replied "it must be because it is so cold outside.":) Then later on I was tucking Rose E in for bed and she went down the long list of excuses to buy her more time, then she said "I need medicine" and when I said why? She couldn't think of anything so she said "my mouth is cold." Oh and speaking of cold, earlier today when she put her mittens on she made me laugh as she said dramatically "my fingers are gone, they are hiding." What a couple of Goofs!

Lots of reasons to celebrate!
Today is Jeff's Grandma's Birthday! Happy Birthday!
And last weekend we celebrated Cale's 5Th Birthday too! Boy these kids are getting too big too fast!
Also, wanted to say Happy Valentine's Day to all! This was our cat, Chessie's valentine gift from Walter. He worked on this house for two days, cutting out windows, drawing flowers all along the outside and decorating the inside with stickers. He was so excited to give it to her, it was so cute!

A Rose in St. Ignace
Daddy had to go on a quick trip to St. Ignace today so Rose E. went along to keep him company. Only 550 miles round trip and back before supper. There was a few minutes to kill upon arrival at the Mackinaw Bridge, just enough time to snap a couple pictures.
Rose E. also liked to pick the XM radio stations and to sing along with songs she never heard before!

Too cute!
What? I thought that was for the babies! Walter gave her a ride and she still didn't want to get out, must have been cozy.
Today while Walter was of course playing with trains in his bedroom he asked me to turn on the radio and after he turned up the volume he said "did I turn the sound to the right inches?"
This little girl just amazes me. Here she is "reading" to her baby (the doll laying next to her). A couple of days ago she said "hey dog starts with d and so does daddy." Then she continued on talking about what some other words start with, it just floored me. She is definitely picking up on what her big brother is learning!
Oh and this little princess has been cracking me up lately. She is very particular about how her socks are put on and if she is the least bit wet (when I wash her hands she dries them about three times and she says she has a hurt where it is wet). Anyway, the other day she had just gotten a bath and her leg was apparently still a little wet and she said "I have a hurt on my leg (she pointed to where it was wet) I need a new leg."
