Walter's true love!

I snapped a picture today of Walter with his Thomas trains. Boy does this boy ever love trains to say the least. He knows all of the train lingo and spends most of his day in someway playing trains! This morning he went through a decorative bowl in our kitchen where his Daddy had emptied his pockets the night before and he made a train out of the coins, a bridge out of a dollar bill, a train station with his watch, and mining buildings with reciepts! He will make trains just about out of anything and everything! He also likes to carry his Daddy's train magazines around and point out the different locomotives and train cars.

Walter has also been showing a big interest in what words say so when we went to Walmart today we pulled up to the Walmart parking lot he said "that say Wal Mart and look Mama Subway eat fresh."

Rose E's new love

For the past week Rose E has taken a liking to this little people police officer. She has slept with it, eaten with it, played with it and she even took it with her as we ran our errands today!
As many of you already know we have been teaching Rose E sign language and it has been a blast! She has been able to tell us so much more than she would have been able to otherwise and has been repeating a lot of those same words too. Anyway, I had to laugh this morning because she requested breakfast by candle light!

Walter's Cheese Body

It has been fun watching this boys imagination soar! Today at supper he told me he made a "cheese body" with his cheese. When I asked if it had a name he said "mama it for eating!"

Sunday Attire

I thought I would add a picture of Rose E and Walter all dressed-up for church today. Somebody commented at church that they look like they are from the Beverley Hills. I thought in my head, sometimes I feel like I have celebrity children in public because they get so much attention! It was also cute today in church because Rose E was looking around and saying "here kitty, kitty."

Rose E's Room

Here we are in Rose E's room, yesterday. I thought I would share Rose E's unique room for all to see. Jeff designed it and built it himself and I think it turned out so cute. As some of you may know Jeff and I love to get creative with our house and we love old fashion charm. Last week we where honored to be asked by the historical society to showcase our house for a home tour and now our honey do list is longer than ever! Good thing Jeff is so handy. It will be a good excuse to spruce things up. We will keep you posted as we tackle our projects.

Greetings from the U.P.

Hello everyone,
This is it. The first entry in my blog that will showcase my kids, Walter and Rose E., along with Jeff and myself and our experiences in and out of our home in Lake Linden. For a while now, I have been keeping a private journal on the computer about the cute little things that the kids are saying and doing, but I always wanted to share these stories with family and friends. So now here it is! Walter has a wonderful sense of humor for a 3 year old and says many things that have to be shared and Rose E. is always smiling and laughing. As I add entries, I will also try to include pictures for all to see how quickly they are changing and growing (and show how beautiful and special this family is).
