Music to mine ears!

Since Walter has been so into wanting to know his letters we bought a leap frog d.v.d. It has really catchy songs about the letters and phonics, as you can see, he made some pretend microphones so that they can sing along. Even Rose E has been singing them too and yesterday in a book she saw the letter W and said "W, Walter." Speaking of singing, I thought it was cute at playgroup today Walter was playing with some instruments that had sheets of music, anyway, when we all sang songs as a group he had to hold a sheet of music so he could "read along."
Rose E has just been a little sweetie. She is such a happy kid and is just making her self laugh and smile all the time lately. Today at supper time she just melted my heart because my supper was done (and needed to be tended too), the phone was ringing for Jeff and Walter was calling me from the bathroom, anyway, in the midst of the chaos she grabbed my leg, hugged it and said "I love you."How did she know that was just what I needed?

Magical moments

It seems that the food at our table always seems to magically turn into something from snowmobiles to trains and here a noodle becomes a phone. Yes my little 21 month old is going on 16 as she says "hello, yeah yeah......" then she turns to me and says "telephone." Lately when the telephone rings too she says "telephone, get it get it." Such a little character! Oh and when we go to the store she'll spot something she likes and says "hi" to it and "bye" to it as well, sometimes they are things that I wouldn't expect such as kitchen towels (she spotted some the other day that had Easter bunnies and chicks on it and for two isles down she was saying bye to them).
Walter has been cute showing our pets all of his toys and creations. He asked me yesterday if we could put signs on all of his things so that the pets would know what they are!?! I guess he must think we have some genius animals if they are able to understand the written the language! Oh and speaking of his creations, today he built some "mining buildings" of course and he was going into great detail about all of the parts of it and he pointed out that the supporting beams where the mining buildings "muscles." Sometimes it is hard to keep a straight face when they say such cute and funny things! He is getting to be such a little sweetie, tonight he said before he went to bed "I'm going to miss you." Talk about making it hard to close that bedroom door!

Food glorious food!

Dogs sure do think they are humans sometimes! I guess there wasn't enough food action happening under the table so he decided to check out what was happening on top of the table! If you look closely, too, Walter has an old tin train in front of him Jeff took it out of the cabinet and he said "I promise I'll be fragile with it!"
Mama's little helper! Here I was unloading the dishwasher and she just dug right in putting them away in their correct places (well where she could reach at least). She has been saying the cutest phrases like "I helping" with a cute little grin.
She is still our sticker queen, she likes to put them on our clothing including her own and we find them all over this house now! When I go anywhere I have to do a double take on my clothes before taking off my jacket because they are usually very brightly decorated (with stickers and sometimes even tape too). Oh and speaking of the grocery store, yesterday I took Walter shopping and he was excited to pick out some fruit snacks (one of his favorite treats along with combos) anyway, there where about ten different kinds on sale but of course he picked out the one that wasn't on sale and when I said to pick out one of the boxes on sale he gave me a strange look and then said "why are these on the shelf then (if they aren't for sale).

Little hiden treasures!

These kids sure do crack us up! This evening out of the blue Rose E said "is Mama hiding , no, is Daddy hiding,no...... and went all the way down the list and nobody was hiding so we hid her dolly (just so somebody would be hiding). Just never know what goes through that mind of hers! Walter got a touch of some virus yesterday but is doing better today, anyway,I knew he was starting to feel better when I went to throw out a store receipt this morning and he said no it "tells what speed I need the trains on." That imagination is always on high gear! Oh and today I heard him say a few times if something was big it was "uppercase" (we've been talking about the alphabet a lot lately) and if it was small it was "lowercase." He also told me that a dime was a "diamond" now that would be quit the treasure to pull out of my pocket!

Pals

Chevy got his hair cut today and it was quit funny to hear Rose E's reaction, he returned during her nap and when she woke-up she saw him on our bed and started to laugh saying "haircut" then she covered him up with this blanket (it is amazing how different they look without all of that hair).
Kiss, kiss where have you been mi amour?!?

It is so much easier now that Rose E is able to tell us things, this morning I was awakened with her saying "it hurts"...."ears." So I took her in to the doctor and found out that she has an ear infection in both ears(she has a cold also), poor thing, she's a trooper though.

Walter's been keeping busy of course playing trains and yesterday as he was using his calculator for a remote control he said "I have a t.v in mine head that tells me how to use the remote so mine trains won't crash." He also told me that this t.v helps him to come up with new layouts. Oh, he sure does make us laugh sometimes! He was tired too today and was rubbing his eyes (in the past I have told him that, that means he is tired) and after he realized he was rubbing them he looked at me and said "I'm not tired, I don't need a nap, I'm doing that because mine eyes are dirty." What a couple of Goofs.

They sure are uplifting!

Ahh the life of a dog, so ruff (yes that is indeed a yawn). He likes to be as up high as possible to keep watch on anyone entering his territory (which includes the sidewalk in front of our house).
We've continued to have a few more nice days, weather wise here. Yesterday on our walk whenever we would get to a road that we crossed, the kids would say "ding ding ding" or make train bell noises the whole length of the crosswalk. Then today I had to laugh because we did some shopping and when we got to our vehicle Rose E made train brake noises (it's no wonder with the brother (and Daddy) that she lives with).
These kids sure do keep us smiling:) The other day Walter woke-me up out of bed and said "mama mine hungry is on." Oh and yesterday I had a little cut on my finger and this was of great concern to Walter he would ask me "how is your hurt?" Sometimes he pretends to be my doctor and I get some pretty funny doctor advice. But it is just so sweet how concerned he is becoming for others. Rose E is turning into a little sweet heart too. Lately whenever we read stories she has to load my lap with dolls(because she doesn't want them to miss out) and of course their blankets too. She is getting to know what pretty much everything in the books are but a couple of days ago I had to chuckle because their was a dog eating out of a dog bowl and when I said what is that dog doing she said "bowling."
